Privacy Policy

1. Data We Collect

Vestential (the “Platform”) obtains your display name, account identifier, and email address (if authorized) via third-party OAuth sign-in (Google, LINE) for account identification and quota management. The Platform does not collect or store your password. If you subscribe to the “Market Focus” newsletter, we additionally collect the email address you provide, used only for delivering the newsletter (free, with one-click unsubscribe anytime).

When you use portfolio image recognition, uploaded screenshots are sent to a third-party AI service (Google Gemini or an OpenAI-compatible endpoint) for visual extraction; original screenshots are not kept permanently after processing. Backtest and public tool usage statistics are tracked anonymously without personally identifiable information. The results of AI analysis requests you submit (containing no account identity information) are made public so that all visitors, including those not signed in, can read them in full.

2. How We Use Data

Your account information is used only for sign-in verification and service quota management. The Platform does not sell, rent, or otherwise provide your personal data to third parties, except:

• As required by law or regulatory authorities.
• To maintain the security and lawful operation of the Platform.

3. Storage and Security

Account data and analysis records are stored in the Platform’s database. Analysis records carry no author information and can only be deleted by administrators; publicly viewable analysis content contains no account identity of yours. We use reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.

4. Third-Party Services

The Platform uses the Yahoo Finance API (market data), TWSE/TPEx (public exchange information), and third-party AI model services. The Market Focus feature also reads and excerpts publicly available content from third-party news websites (including Google News RSS sources), respecting each site’s robots.txt and storing only a short-lived excerpt of the latest round. Newsletter delivery uses an SMTP email sending service (Gmail by default). Overview read-aloud uses your device browser’s built-in on-device speech synthesis; the text being read is never uploaded to any server. These third parties have their own Privacy Policies; by using the Platform you agree to have data processed per each service’s policy.

5. Cookies

The Platform uses HTTP-only cookies for sign-in state management and preference cookies to remember your language selection (Traditional Chinese, English, Japanese). We do not use third-party advertising or commercial tracking cookies.

6. Your Rights

You may request to view, correct, or delete your account data at any time. To exercise these rights, please email service@vestential.com.

7. Policy Updates

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time; changes will be posted on this page and take effect upon posting.
